Since the inception of the microfinance project by GAFI, it has focused on it’s aims of Poverty and hunger alleviation through women empowerment, workshops and practical training on small scale business development and to inculcate into women living in the rural communities the habit of savings
For the past three weeks, Anne Bettis, (a volunteer from U.S.A) and Justice Arthur Junior (the Program Manager, GAFI), have been working with the group to monitor the activities of the group and to ensure the aims of the project are achieved.
After weeks of training on household budgeting, savings, marketing and small scale business management, the foundation is delighted to announce to the general public that these hard working women have qualified to receive loans to invest into their businesses to enable them develop economically and to uplift in their standard of living
We strongly believe they can do more with any little amount of money at their disposal. On that note, coming June 8th, 2016, the entire team (GAFI) will at Akufful – Krodua in the Central Region of Ghana to do the presentation to these women.
